Student Training Program

Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) funded our first formal training program in 2006. That first year we provided training for 17 hygienists and dental assistants from three schools. Today, we are training over 300 students from nine schools. Since beginning the program we have trained 1,138 students, and increased access for approximately 17,500 underserved people.

Our training program currently collaborates with nine colleges/universities to provide training for several categories of students—dental hygiene, dental hygiene restorative functions, dental assistant, nursing, advanced dental therapy, and community health workers.

Thank you to our funders for making our program possible!
